I am one of the fortunate few who had the opportunity to grow up in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and the privilege to immigrate to California. I proudly became an American citizen, and finally settled in Carmel by the Sea, my most favorite place in the world.
My parents instilled an appreciation for family, nature, community, and that you could achieve any goal with hard work & determination. My father began his life in an orphanage; one day a caring elderly couple adopted my father, and provided him with a loving home. My mother was born in Belgium and taken to Canada during World War two; she was also raised by an adoptive family. Interesting how life brought my parents together and they raised a family of four daughters in a typical middle class Canadian community. Both of my parents were hard working and focused on providing their children with a quality family life. Their love & guidance shaped my belief structure to set goals, work hard, be fair, honest, give back to community, and live life to the fullest.
